Stop Your Spending From Rising Every Time Your Income Does
You've gotten raises. Your income has gone up over the years. And yet your savings rate hasn't moved — maybe it's gotten worse. Somewhere between the old apartment and the new one, the old car and the new one, the money quietly found somewhere else to go. You're not overspending on any one thing. You're just... upgraded. Permanently.

The Quiet Upgrader
Your income has climbed steadily for years, but somehow your bank balance hasn't followed. Every individual purchase felt reasonable.
The Keeping-Up Earner
A lot of your spending is shaped by what colleagues, friends, or social media peers have — even when you know it isn't really 'you.'
The Next-Raise Planner
You have a raise or bonus coming and you know — from experience — that without a plan, it'll just become a nicer version of your current life.

Sample Exercise: The Wealth Cost Calculation
Section 1.3 is the page that changes everything. It takes your total annual lifestyle upgrade cost — rent increases, car payments, subscriptions, the 'small' stuff — and shows what that money would have become if invested at 8% instead. The multipliers (14.5x at 10 years, 45.8x at 20, 113.3x at 30) make the invisible cost visible.
Your exercise
Add up the annual cost of every lifestyle upgrade you've made since your last raise or job change (extra rent, car payment increase, subscriptions, recurring 'nicer' choices). Multiply that annual total by 14.5 (10 years), 45.8 (20 years), and 113.3 (30 years) at 8% compound growth. Write all three numbers down, then write what you've effectively traded for those upgrades.
The full workbook has structured worksheets like this across every section — plus trackers, frameworks, and monthly review templates.
